Photograph Notes: I was lucky to be ready and to have the
camera pointed directly at this young orca whale when it leapt out of
the water. This series of four pictures were taken approximately 1/4 of
a second apart and so they span a period of almost one second. You can
see a somewhat larger version of each picture by clicking on any of the
