perched on the 'pile' marker at Pile Point. (Note: the concrete pile
points to the seventh turning point of this section of the US-Canadian
border.) Behind the eagle and over the fog bank lying over the Straits
of Juan da Fuca, the Olympic mountains are highlighted by the sun peeking
